Buying Club 2.0 Fundraising Needs
Big changes are coming to your buying club — a new location and a new ordering platform. Help us invest $50,000 to make the move possible.
Why we're raising it
Big changes are coming to your buying club! A new location and a new ordering platform will be some of the most notable things that will impact your experience as a member. While membership fees help cover the administrative operations of the club and inventory fees cover the cost of products kept on hand, these upcoming changes will present us with some new funding needs.
To help make this transition possible, we are asking club members and friends to invest $50,000 through donations. Gifts of all amounts are needed to make this a reality. We've raised $12,315 so far. Please consider supporting this time of growth for the future of the buying club!
While the club improvements will allow the club to continue to prosper, the new location will roughly double our rent. One of the main uses for funds will be to cover the increased rent costs over the next year while the club's growth and volume normalizes to naturally cover this expense.
Other costs associated with the move include the deposit at the new location, preparing it for move-in (including removing existing carpeting), and moving the walk-in refrigeration unit from Oak Street to the new location. We also anticipate some infrastructure costs — shelving, freezers, tables, and a children's area.
